Introduction
If you are looking for a Lebanese restaurant in Val d'Isère, you have probably noticed the resort has none in the strict sense. Yet one address takes your taste buds to the Middle East: IMA, in the heart of the village, serves the cuisine of the Levant, rooted in the great Lebanese traditions.
Sharing mezze, smooth hummus, crisp falafel, fragrant grills: this is where to find the flavours of Lebanon and the Eastern Mediterranean at 1,850 metres.
Lebanese and Levantine cuisine: what does it mean?
Levantine cuisine spans the culinary traditions of Lebanon, Syria, Palestine and Jordan — a culture of the table built on sharing. Lebanon is its heart: mezze (small sharing plates), hummus, moutabal, tabbouleh, falafel, marinated grills, warm bread and orange-blossom desserts.
This is exactly the heritage Chef Elie Fischmann (who trained with Yannick Alléno and the Four Seasons) reinterprets at IMA, with exceptional produce and a contemporary touch.
IMA: the only Lebanese and Levantine table in Val d'Isère
At 120 rue du Parc des Sports, a minute from the centre, IMA is the only address in Val d'Isère serving this cuisine of the Levant. In a warm, red-signature setting, you share generous plates designed for conviviality — exactly as you would around a Lebanese table.
And the experience does not end with dinner: from 11pm the restaurant becomes a club until 4am. A full evening, from the first mezze to the last track.
What is on the menu?
Mezze: signature hummus, smoked aubergine moutabal, tabbouleh, fattoush, falafel, labneh.
Grills: tender spiced lamb, marinated chicken skewers, grilled fish with fresh herbs.
Desserts: reinvented Middle-Eastern sweets with a Turkish coffee.
All with signature cocktails carrying Levantine flavours: pomegranate, orange blossom, rose water.
